You can't control the message

That's been my message, memo to self and moto for the last five years. And now you can see how little I can control the message on my blog.

Sigh. Yes I succumbed. And I've already been outed by a few peeps.

Besides I figured there have to be better places than here to wibble on about herons and the latest films that I've seen and that I can now buy pints of milk in glass bottles...

Never fear, I'll still be here. Just less often. And hopefully with less of my gubbins.

deleted last post as I forgot to spell check!

I love your blog almost as much as I love you Laura.

Snappy, colourful, reflective and 100% Laura H Drain!

Long may the gubbins continue, here or St. Elsewhere.

Incidentally - milk bottles. I also appreciate them, but do you think you can get to a stage where you amass so many, that you can't reuse any more?

In which case, I assume you recycle them and have shared the spirit crushing moment when you are forced to drop them into the recycler, hearing them smash as they fall to the bottom, rather than knowing that a milkman will collect the empties for reuse at the.... errr.... Milkary(?)

"The spirit crushing truth of glass Milk Bottle recycling" - perhaps a good title for one of Stephen's songs?

Nope - cos 8th Day collect them and give them all back to the milkman/ dairy...

Clever huh?

8th Day Collect? Blimey... do you let them know when you have some ready to go? Or is there a central drop off point where you deposit and they collect?

It sounds a 'smashing' good idea!

ho-ho-ho

Um, yeah. It's called 8th Day. You know, the shop on Oxford Road...

;-)

AHA! So when you said "8th Day collect them" you didn't actually mean "collect them", in the sense the milkman used to, but "receive them" from punters with enough nounce to take them back.

I see.

I'm glad that's cleared up.

Took a while to get there.

But we're there now.

Praise the Lord.
