Whilst we're on the subject of radio programmes... I listened to a fascinating one earlier tonight whilst buying a curry (well, I say 'whilst', but really I was sitting in my car immediately before buying the curry when I heard the programme start, then went back to my car and listened again as I waited for the curry to be made, then listened more having purchased the curry (chicken jalfrazi) and finally listened to the rest of it at home whilst eating my dinner)... what I mean is they didn't have the radio on in the curry shop - they had the Champions League game on a telly in the back). Anyway - Claudia Hammond (above) presented this really interesting... well lets see how the Beeb described it:
"It's nearly 40 years since LSD was made illegal, but now there's growing scientific interest in studying hallucinogenic drugs. In the 50s LSD was believed to be a wonder drug and used widely in psychiatry to treat conditions from depression to addiction. In this week's programme Claudia finds out about the new research underway using psychedelics, and asks whether modern psychiatry is really the place for drugs like LSD, magic mushrooms and Ecstasy."
Interested? So was I! If you missed it you should be able to simply click on Claudia's smile to get to the relevant website and listen to the whole programme at your leisure!

Lev,
What's happened to your blog?
I was advised to delete it, so I did. Annouying, but on balance probably wise.
Hopefully a new one will be published after the election.
Rave on!
Definitely wise!!! I was contemplating that perhaps you could post less controversial things but then you wouldn't be the Lev we all love!
