Nice turn of phrase...

One of my colleagues, who knows I'm a Christian and do my "church thing" on a Wednesday rather than a Sunday, just asked, "So are you Godding it up tonight then?"

Nice one! :-D

The Man Who Fell Asleep is a website I occasionally visit when I'm bored, and he happens to have an article on Godding...

Worryingly seedy.

I was working in the Marble last night with Abby, when she said a wonderful phrase. We were serving drinks when all of a sudden it all went quiet. Nothing happened to make it go quiet, it's just everyone, it seemed, came to a natural break in their conversation.

Then about 4 or 5 seconds later a low murmour started, then it died down again. Then a few seconds later low level conversation resumed, and then everyone started talking.

It wasn't something uncomfortable, it certainly didn't feel that way, but I noticed it and told Abby who odd I found the silence in a fairly busy Sunday evening.

She turned to me and said: "Sounds like an Angel has just walked amongst us."

Love it!
