Sanctus@Nexus

We're about to launch our third Sanctus1 group (21st June). It's gonna be on a Tuesday night at 7:30 in Nexus (just off Oldham Street, in the Northern Quarter). There are about 10 pioneering people from Sanctus1 who are going to launch this new venture. It is also exciting as it is in partnership with the methodists in the city centre.

It's a neutral space and I think it will be far more accessible to those who have no experience of Church. We're also going to be working with the methodists to open the Night Cafe later in the summer, which will be in Nexus and hopefully allow people to feed into Sanctus@Nexus.

a number of thoughts - it is both worship and community, there will be community enhancing activities happening in there with a variety of groups. There will also be worship that will be more accessible, partly due to the location but also due to the format...cris will post later with more details

more details...Nexus is a venue in the trendy 'northern quarter' of manchester, focusing on community, creativity and the arts. On Saturday nights it's a night cafe, providing space for people leaving nightclubs staying open well past the 2am kicking out time. On Sunday mornings the cafe will stay open as a place to read and reflect on the Sunday papers. During the week it is used for music and drama workshops working with local communities and minority groups, the venue also includes a recording studio. In the evenings there are opportunities for ad hoc gig nights. Sanctus@Nexus provides a Christian community at the heart of what is quickly becoming a lively and creative space in Manchester.
