What always used to irritate me whan I worked in an office was the number of people who would shut down their PCs and leave them at 'it is now safe to power off your computer' *all night*. Normally with the monitor on too.
I used to have to go around switching them off (was usually the last out so it fell to me to do it). Couldn't do it every night though.
If you must leave the PC on switch the monitor off - it draws a lot of power that you don't need to be using if you're not looking at it. LCDs are better than CRTs in this respect. Your boss will like you too as his electricity bill will drop...
HA! I have Out-Politically-Corrected you! I win a copy of the Guardian, a £2-a-month subscription to Amnesty Internation and frame in which to display my smugness. HA!
