Snap Crackle and Pop

Father Horvak: What's confusing you this week?
Frankie: Oh, it's the same old "one God-three God" thing.
Father Horvak: Frankie, most people figure out by kindergarten it's about faith.
Frankie: Is it sort of like Snap Crackle and Pop, all rolled into one big box?
Father Horvak: You're standing outside my church, comparing God to Rice Crispies?

PS - Am too cut up to write anything at all about Dr Who. Maybe once I’ve come to terms with the “apart for eternity” thing then I’ll have a go. Till then...

Am I the only one wondering when the Doctor would have dumped Rose anyway because she was getting on a bit (cf Sarah Jane Smith) ?

I'm sorry, should I keep quiet and carry on handing out hankies?

Nooooooo!... See, it was different with the Dr and Rose. They were soul mates. It wasn't any of your Sarah Jane easy-come-easy-go stuff. They loved each other. They did. They would have been together till the end.

:-(

See you've started me off again... (sniff)

I was going to write 'Dr who?' to show my complete lack of engagement with or awareness of the programme. (Obviously ot entirly oblivious. I know the cybermen ad the daleks had a fight. I read it somewhere). But then I realised just how much that wouldn't work. But I thought I'd write about it anyway...

I'm with sarah on this one...sci-fi rubbish...next thing that'll happen is that we'll be wearing star-trek outfits.

Me three The Mr and I were at his parents on Saturday night and basically had no choice but to watch our first episode.

K took up reading the paper after 5 mins exclaiming "its for the kids" to his mum's comments that he used to love it when he was younger.

Myself, I can take it or leave it

Ben, Sarah, Kev and the Joolzter are wrong. Especially, Ben - how very DARE you.

I've always loved Dr Who, it's great. I also love Russell T Davies, however!!!!....

1) The directing in this and the last series has been patchy to say the least;

2) The background music has been plain awful, awful, awful, the worst thing about the series;

3) David Tennant is sooo pantomime; in the same way Ecclestone reminded us of Tom Baker's wildness, Tennant reminds me of Sylvester McCoy;

4) Er...

5) ...that's it. I have lots of positives too, about Billie Piper and the monsters and the respect of the larger Dr Who narrative and the childish glee that infuses the whole show etc etc etc.

I do love sci-fi books. I'm not so keen on sci-fi on tv, though, sadly, I can tell you quite a lot about Babylon 5 and Stargate.

However, Dr Who was too scary for me when I was younger. And now we don't have a tv licence (though we're going back to the dark side soon) I wouldn't ba able to watch it if I wanted to. Also, it would still be too scary for me, I reckon...
