I have new boots coming hrough the post which I bought on ebay. I'm very excited about this. Every day I squelch home with one slightly/very/exceedingly/depressingly* wet foot, hoping the postman** will have visited. And often he has, but so far he hasn't brought me new boots. There's always today!

**for those following the gender debate on my blog, he actually is a man. The trouble with attempts to be gender neutral is that they make me sound militant. I could have written 'postal worker' or 'postal delivery operative' but they sound... erm... pretentious... 'Postie' is gender neutral but seems a little disrespectful towards someone I don't really know and who gets up at 4am just to bring me letters and new boots.
I now have new boots. Hurrah for dry feet. Mind you, I think there's something in events which make me appreciate stuff I normally take for granted. Like shoes...

"I'm a lay-deee's shoe, don't you know?"
Why have men's trainers and women's trainers? Do men and women have different shaped feet?
Being able to wear recycled trainers is prtty good. Though I don't know if I would spend £60 on a pair of trainers.
The difference is women have holes in their boots.
(That was an in-joke reference to Sarah's boots, by the way... I should stop confusing people.)
...you think that anyone else actually reads this stuff?...
Dream on, fats, dream on.
