Really interesting to see that Mr Poots is on board. Could all be fascinating. Hmmm, but if you know any of the politics either in Manchester or Edinburgh around the Fringe and (proposed) International Festivals, I think it won't be "neophile" so much as fireworks... Oh, but the Edinburgh lot are already laughing so hard at the claims about "bigger, better, brighter" that they can't string a sensible comment together.

I just hope that one of the events isn't a piss-up in a brewery, because I suspect the council may not be able to organise it...
